Vintage Paperboard File Box

This paperboard file box will proudly house your index cards, recipes, or other important files. The top opens with a metal hinge and locks shut with a metal clasp. The pieces are held together with metal rivets, and its construction is quite sturdy. It varies in color between red and a very dark green paint, depending upon the amount of wear on the surface. There are also traces of white paint on the box. There are holes drilled (?) into the front, the back, and one of the sides. The file box likely dates back to the 1920's-1940's.
