A framed medalion holds a toile done in shades of brown and cream has been partially colored. It is a country scene of a rooster and his hen walking in front of an old fence and barn; has a far view of fields, trees, and stream. In front of them are a flowering tree, a fruiting grape vine, and a short bucket with more fruit. The medalion is framed by acanthus leaves, and swagged with flowers, fruits, and leaves. Hanging from the bottom most swag is a bucket filled with more fruit and leaves. Surmounting the swag is a shelf with gardening implements, flowers, fruit, leaves, and- a blue bird! The toile in the medalion stands out well from a background of deep mustardy yellow that has a stippling of small brown dots. The colored parts of the medalion and the fruits and vegetables that surround it are: browns, several golds, buff yellow, clear yellow, tan, and beige. These are bruitened by red, olive green and blue. The darkest color is charcoal, the lightest is cream. The colors are tonal. Because of that and the over-printing, there appear to be many more colors used. In the close-up the lightest color has been bleached by the flash; it is not white, it is a cream.
This is 57 1/2" wide. The large medalion, measuring from the top most part of beige to the bottom most part is about 11 3/4" ( 29.845 cm. ) high. It is about 10 1/4" ( 26.0350 cm. ), measuring across at the widest part. It is a mid-weight, home decorator fabric. This would be wonderful for cushions, curtains, quilts, totes, etc.
This is for a 36" cut, more is available.
