A beautiful blue Chalcedony is set perfectly in line with the design, cradled by the curving vines to look like it was meant to be there from the start. The high-quality stone is particularly stunning, having the soft blue-grey coloration associated with chalcedony but with a luscious peach color shining from its depths which flashes with movement.
The chalcedony is bezel set in a hand made setting which fits super tight against the stone, leaving no wiggle room whatsoever, and I never use glue to set my stones. There are no gaps between the bezel and the stone.
The piece has been partially darkened to help the design pop, front and back. The highlighted silver has been polished to a silky satin sheen (low-shine) for a vintage appearance.
The pendant is approximately 1" long by .5" wide (or about 2.5x1.25cm), very easy to wear but very hard to go unnoticed. The back of the spoon was originally engraved with the date "6.6.05" and I have left that on the piece as a tribute to its original form.
Comes on an 18" sterling silver commercial chain, ready to wear.
