This trio of square pipes has more personality that most people I know. If you spend enough time looking at them you will no doubt be transfixed by the corroded beauty that nature and man's own hand have stamped upon these steel tubes.
Quote from an industrial site as to the official use of these steel tubes: The alloy used for manufacturing square steel tubes is carbon steel. These steel tubes are used in structural projects, shelves, racks, trailers and in ornamental purpose. The framework made by square steel tubes, is used for providing support to the roof.
And now, they have another use. An artful use. As indestructible repurposed vessels. I have cut the steel tube and secured a base onto them, cleaned and sanded the interior, sealed with marine adhesive to prevent leaks and painted with rust converter as well as a black enamel rustproof paint to ensure that your vase lasts for years.
The patina is delightful, although weathered by time and it's previous life's work, it has retained most of its bright yellow paint job. I have cleaned them up and made them palatable for you to touch and show off anywhere in your home, both indoors and out. Do not be afraid, these are tame creatures ready to serve a gentler purpose in life now. Flowers, dried stalks of exotic matter or or anything else you can think of are perfect for this trio!
