Giant John, a character created by author Arnold Lobel, is a friendly giant who lives among musical fairies. But the time comes when he must venture out into the world to get a job. Soon, he befriends a king and queen who ask him to stay and work for their family. Through his adventures, Giant John learns what it means to care about people and for them to care about him.
This story was originally published in 1964 by Harper and Row Publishers. This particular copy is part of the Weekly Reader Children's Book Club. This book is in good vintage condition. There is wear and tear around the edges of the book. the inside front and back pages, have slight discoloring. Also the inside front cover has a bit of bubbling (shown in the last picture).
This book would make a great start to your vintage children's book collection or add it to your already growing collection.
