Mellow Yellow, 1950s Vintage Canary Yellow Crystal Embellished Cocktail Dress

I discovered this elegant late 1950s/ early 1960s party dress in a vintage boutique in New York. It is simply stunning. The elegant dress closes with a discreet back zip and a hidden hook and eye fastner. My favourite thing about this dress apart from the hundreds of sparkly crystals, is the way it has been made...there is a tiny weight hanging inside the neckline to prevent it from flopping over...how old school is that! The embroidered label says "Cates First Avenue Denver." I see it being worn with killer heels, dangly earrings and a serious up-do for a summer wedding or a big party :)

For my European customers, this dress is €104 when converted from dollars.

SIZE :

As this dress is a baby doll shift dress shape is suits most sizes. I am estimating it to be a UK 14/16, American 10/12. The model however is a UK 10/ American 6.
