From the creator of "I Was A Teenage Filipino Skinhead" comes an unprecedented series of purely random and spontaneous artistic expression.

"BARF: Issue #1" spurts forth from the mind of Greg Narvas, whom after several years as a Graphic Designer found himself nearly completely detached from his lifelong leisure of freehand drawing and illustration.

Not wanting to stagnate any further, he devised a plan to cure what he termed CGD (Computer-Generated Disease):

"One day, out of the blue, I made a promise to myself that I would draw every weekday (Mon.-Fri.) for 30 days straight, spending exactly half an hour (my lunch break) on each drawing," writes Narvas in the book's introduction. "I would start with a blank 8.5 x 11 paper, and draw whatever came to mind—completely random and spontaneous, with no preliminary sketching. Just ink to paper."

After a few days, his co-workers began to notice that he no longer ate lunch, but rather remained in his corner, hunched silently over his canvas.

"I found that drawing actually 'fed' me at lunch, and I had little or no cravings for food," said Narvas.

In fact, he enjoyed it so much that he easily met the 30-day trial and even went past the mark. It was then that a co-worker suggested that he publish the results. So he did, and BARF: Issue #1 is it.

...But why the name "Barf?"

"I had a lot of trouble trying to name this book. I was trying to think of something cool and artsy and kept coming to a dead end. Finally I discovered one word to describe it all—Barf. Why? It really is a completely spontaneous regurgitation of anything I had mentally ingested each particular day, whether it be fresh brain food, or perhaps mucky residue which had accumulated since who knows when. All coming out in one big warm, chunky splash," he laughs.

And now, for the first time ever, you have a chance to own your very own bowl of belly-belched beauty, to treasure for a lifetime. Each saddle-stitched edition comes signed by the author, with a glorious full-color cover and 42 pages filled to the rim with Greg's own brand of pure profuseness. Each drawing has been faithfully reproduced through a high-resolution scan of the original, to provide you a full-frontal feast for the senses. A must-have for art enthusiasts and collectors seeking art in its purest, uninhibited form, and anyone else simply looking for something out of the ordinary.

Don't delay. Be the first on your block to own this one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Be the first to proclaim "I love BARF!" to your unenlightened, unknowing peers, who will respond with the ultimate expressions of curiosity and disgust as you dance with the joy of your discovery.
