This classic apple peeler made by the Reading Hardware Company only (as it states on top) is in working condition as you can see by the attached photos. A company has purchased the rights to this design and is remaking these but this is an original from the early 1900's.
This unit stands 12 inches tall and when mounted rises 9 inches off of the table. This is in beautful working condition and the only flaw is the original design kicked the apple out once the peeling was finished. The spring to do this does not seem to be working. Someone with a mechanical mind should be able to fix this. Otherwise it peels apples with amazing speed and precision.
Any questions on this vintage piece feel free to convo me.
** No apples were harmed in this shoot. Actually, they were quite delicious when I finished.
I honestly think any baker, canner, or designer outfitting a vintage farmhouse kitchen could make use of this item. This item spells out Made in the United States of America not just Made in the USA.
