Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand (translaterd by Brian Hooker). Vintage book purchased at a used book sale; published in 1951 by The Modern Library (Random House). A play about the noble cadet Cyrano who, due to his extremely large nose, believes his love for the beautiful Roxane - or any woman - can never be requited.

Original jacket replaced with hand-calligraphed, marbelized aqua paper jacket. Calligraphy (in black ink) appears both on the cover and the spine.

The book measures 7.25 inches x 5 inches and features lovely, patterned endpapers (pictured). It is 300 pages long.
