Shea butter is the base of all our body butters because it nourishes skin with vitamins A, E and F to keep it clear and healthy. She has been known to help prevent early signs of aging, and provide relief to damage caused by over exposure to the sun. Most significantly, shea easily penetrates skin allowing it to breathe without clogging pores.
We use grape seed oil in our whipped body butters because it is a preferred ingredient for damaged and stressed tissues, possessing regenerative and restructuring qualities which allow for strong control of skin moisturization. It is also known to reduce the appearance of stretch marks. Apricot kernel oil absorbs into skin quickly and has a great shelf life when kept out of direct sunlight. We used to use sweet almond oil as well, which is a similarly strong emollient known to soften and re-condition skin thanks to its rich protein content and vitamin D, but we are aiming to make our products more suitable for people with mild nut allergies and can tolerate shea.
That said, entirely nut-free body butters are avaiable. Please enquire for details =-)

Pink Grapefruit & Black Pepper: Pink grapefruit is believed by aromatherapists to be a spiritual up-lifter, and to ease muscle fatigue and stiffness. It is also a purifier of congested, oily and acne prone skin. Black pepper oil can be used to help in the treatment of pain relief, rheumatism, chills, flu, colds, increase circulation, exhaustion, muscular aches, physical and emotional coldness. Although we’re only using a tiny amount, black pepper is not recommended for sensitive skin, nor is it recommended for use during pregnancy.
Lemon & Coriander: Lemon essential oil is an effective germicidal action, so it's regarded as a helpful oil in the treatment of colds and fevers. It also stimulates the immune system and circulation. Coriander oil can be useful to refresh and awake the mind because it can help with mental fatigue, migraine pain, tension and nervous weakness. There are some indications that is also can be useful in combating colds and flu.
Lavender, Bergamot & Ylang Ylang: This romantic, floral blend of oils offers an interesting range of benefits including lavender’s anti-depressive properties that are both sedative and pleasantly stimulating, bergamot’s helpful treatment of depression, stress, and tension, and ylang ylang’s aphrodisiac properties. Lovely!
Spicy Nights: A romantic combination of cinnamon, orange and ylang ylang essential oils to spice up an evening.
Playful: a delightfully yummy fragrance combining vanilla absolute and clove essential oil.
Unscented: No essential oils are used in the production of this variety.

Each 125 mL canning jar holds approximately 65 grams of whipped body butter, but we often try to pack in more than that.
