(Pattern only, not a tutorial.) Included in the pattern is a clear color grid, materials list, a word map for those who prefer that to working from a grid, and a cover letter with some general information.
The diminutive Forget Me Not is a favorite subject of artwork with Alaskans. Our state flower is a wild perennial with typically dainty blue blossoms, but occasionally pops up in pink or white. This bookmark is a miniature little piece of artwork focusing on a delicate chain of the blue variety, jade green foliage and gold edges winding down the ivory panel.
I used #11 Japanese delica beads of ivory, corn flower blue, dark jade green and gold colors in the weaving of this piece. Finished piece is a little over 1/2" wide and can be adjusted to what ever length you prefer by changing the number of pattern repeats in the center.
This pattern would also be useful for cross stitch, mosaic/tile work.
