This clutch was constructed with decorator taffeta (which I LOVE to work with since it washes beautifully and is sturdy) in black and cream. Each black panel is individually cut and pieced onto a thin strip of cream taffeta. The cream stripes are free moving (meaning they are like tucks in the fabric, not sewn strips). The center is embroidered with a fancy motif in cream. On the opposite side, I have added lacing to look like a corset. Along the top edge, under the nickel frame is a sweet ruffle done in cream with black edging. The inside is lined with black taffeta.
This roomy little purse has these measurements:
11 wide at the widest part
6 1/2 inches tall from bottom to the top of the frame
2 inches deep across the bottom panel
I used an 8x3 nickel kiss lock frame at the top edge
