About this Item:
This is a paper print of "In The Sea", an original mixed media painting and collage on canvas created using an original photograph by me taken on the central California coast (I believe somewhere around San Luis Obispo or Point Reyes) while on a cross-country road trip. I was so enamored with the combination of a wide sea skyline, beautiful coastal hills in the background, and a suited up surfer rushing into his newest adventure in the waves that I knew it was just waiting to be made into art. Paired with this quote from the e.e. cummings poem "maggie and millie and molly and may," and pieces of road map, scrap paper, old tide tables and even a few scraps of fabric, "In The Sea" combines found pieces of life with the endless, soulful mystery of the sea... I hope it speaks to the ocean adventurer in you :)
This print is printed on premium archival fine art paper with archival Epson pigment inks. Print is lightly signed and dated on back, with a thin white border for framing purposes (so nothing is cut off by an overlapping matt). It will arrive very lovingly packaged in a cello sleeve with stiff foam backing in a non-bendable mailer. Print comes unframed; any frame in image picture is for example purposes only.
