"FIESTA" luggage by Wheary Luggage Company - a division of Hartmann Luggage Co from the 1930's on. I would date this from the 1950-1960's based on the other items from this estate.
4 pieces, 3 the same size + train case. The shape and condition are what make this set special. Curved top edge on the larger pieces and curved front on the train case. Dark blue trimmed hardside luggage with contrast stitching and a pebbled, tweedy blue, pale brown and white pattern on the sides. The large pieces measure 6.75" x 17.5" x 24" and the train case measures 7.5" x 9.5" x 15".
These would be FANTASTIC stacked as a table, used as out of season storage or filled with the many magazines you can't part with (wink, wink!) Put these in your coastal cottage, kids' rooms, guest room - wherever!
These came to me with almost pristine interiors. Then my 8 yr old offered to help me wipe the cases and left the damp cloth inside one piece while I wasn't looking....it took all of my parental patience to not LOSE IT when I saw the resulting water spot :O At least we know it's only water! This is the one case with any issues - it also has a stubborn lock on the left side which likes to pop open.
All in all - a beautiful set dying to be repurposed!
