This handmade tea cosy is made using a lovely print by Riley Blake "Rainy Days and Mondays" there are umbrellas in green, pink, orange and grey. There is a layer of insul-brite, the same product used in oven mitts, it will keep the tea hot ready for that second cup. The lining is white cotton. It measures approx. 12" wide at the bottom and 12" in height - perfect for a big teapot! (mine shown holds 6 cups). The traditional English dome shape works best, no heat loss thru the top or spout.
There are no exposed seams.
There is a loop for hanging the cosy.

As a true Brit Gal, I know a thing or two about brewing tea.
1. put the water on to boil - a real rolling boil
2. warm the tea pot (run some hot tap water in the pot - don't forget to empty it!
3. add tea (1 tsp. per cup) to pot. (or use tea bags if you want)
4. pour the boiling water over the tea. Stir.
5. cover the pot with a beautiful tea cosy from Britgaldesigns, and let the tea steep, a few minutes is all.
The tea is ready!! After pouring out your tea - top up the pot with more boiling water and cover with your tea cosy, it will be hot and ready for your second cup.
