I used a lightweight cotton (perfect for summer weather) with white dots on a navy background. Jumbo red rickrack traces the bottom edge of the figure-flattering wide waistband. The skirt is gathered slightly to allow plenty of room for movement. I also added four antique brass colored snaps on the side to give it a slightly nautical look.
This skirt can be worn high at the natural waistline for vintage style or lower on the hips for a more modern look.
