Quilted in a gently meandering grid using yellow top thread. I appliqued the stems with a beautiful green variegated thread, and the poppies with red, orange and yellow thread. The poppies were quilted in from the edges of the flower a bit, allowing the flower edges to fray softly when laundered upon completion. The quilt is backed in crisp white.
The various threads used in quilting the poppies and stems created a fun work of art (see thumbnail) on the back as well! Bound in white dots on orange. I used Warm & White 100% cotton batting, and gently laundered the quilt after completion, allowing the batt to shrink its standard 2 to 4%.
This quilt is just bursting with sunshine and cheer! The frayed edges of the poppies make it a great quilt for tummy time, with lots of texture and contrast for curious little fingers and eyes to explore.

Quilt bindings are a double layer of fabric, and are hand-stitched to the back of the quilt. Quilts are gently laundered upon completion.
Please wash and dry your quilt on gentle, cool cycles. For maximum color retention, line dry and keep from prolonged exposure to direct sun.
