This Zakumi crochet pattern is written in English (using U.S. crochet terms). It is 8 pages long with very detailed instructions and 30 images to help you make the Zakumi Amigurumi. If you have a question, feel free to e-mail me: kandjdolls [!at] gmail.com.

Zakumi is a cheetah. He is the mascot of the 2010 soccer World Cup in South Africa. The name Zakumi is a composition of ZA, the lettering denoting Zuid Afrika (South Africa in Dutch) and "Kumi", which means 10 in languages across South Africa. He is very cute and huggable.

** Please note: This is a PDF CROCHET PATTERN and not the finished doll. **

Crochet skill level: Intermediate (requires knowledge of basic crochet terms)

Zakumi is 7 inches tall (18 cm)

This pattern can be made using any yarn you wish. Choose a hook size that matches the yarn. I have used:

3.00 mm hook
4 ply yarn (white, green, yellow, brown and black)
Black embroidery floss
Polyester fiberfill
Tapestry needle
Iron wire 6 inches long

Please do not post my original pattern on the internet or resell it. I love it if you make as many mermaids as you like for yourself or to give to friends. Sorry: you cannot sell the finished doll.

The PDF pattern will be emailed within 24 hours of PayPal payment. Please note that you may pay using PayPal and your credit card without having a PayPal account.

Thank you for looking. :)
