They appear to be gently worn (probably to a soiree or ball) and there is some deterioration of the silk, which only adds to their ethereal appeal. The size is unmarked but they are extremely dainty. I strongly recommend the slippers be purchased for display only because of their delicate antique condition.
I am not a shoe expert, but from what I can determine, they appear to be from the late 1800’s.
They measure 9 1/2 inches along the bottom from toe to heel and a mere 2 ¾ across at the widest.
