Unique Vintage Fotron Electronic Film Camera - The Fotron is a camera that was manufactured in Glendale, California by the Traid Corporation and sold door-to-door during the 1960s, making this a collectible in the marketing and advertising fields. The Fotron was aimed primarily at women and marketed as a simpler alternative to the “complicated” traditional cameras. The Fotron has a number of innovative features (for the time), including a built-in electronic flash, rechargeable battery, motorized film advance, and push-button exposure control. It uses standard 828 roll-film packaged in a proprietary snap-in cartridge. However, due to its high price and the film had to be returned to the manufacturer for processing, the Fotron is did not gain much popularity. Thus, this camera is very hard to find in this condition and highly sought after. Due to its age, sold as is. Original Manual and Leather Case made of Del Mar Hide by A.K. Salz Tannery Included with this Very Good Condition Vintage Camera.
