This baby quilt can be made using your son or daughter’s baby clothing (t-shirts, etc.). It is a quilt that will lovingly live in your family for generations to come. This quilt is a unique gift of warmth and love.
It is impossible to part with those darling articles of clothing that we first put on our baby, tiny little t-shirts with adorable characters on them, onesies, their first baby blanket (receiving blankets), tiny little pants or dresses that you can never throw away. There are specialty items with memorable sayings, such as “baby’s first Christmas,” “Daddy’s little girl,” “hugs and kisses,” “rockstar” and many others.
I can create a patchwork quilt of all of these treasured items, by cutting them into squares, sewing them together and machine quilting a design on the quilt. I would happily design the quilt for you, or you can create your own design for me to follow.
Send me approximately 30-40 pieces of your favorite clothes, onesies, sleepers, blankets, etc., anything that you wish. A nice touch would be to also include a swatch of clothing from your favorite maternity dress, blouse or pants that you wore while carrying your son or daughter. We could even include a swatch of fabric from Dad’s shirt or pants, that he wore to the hospital the night your baby was born. (Any unused items will be returned to you).

Each square of clothing will be backed with stabilizer to ensure its durability and long life. The backing fabric will be a fabric of your choice. Maybe you have a favorite color you would like to use for the backing. The quilt pictured here has a light green minky fabric as the backing. Please convo me about any special request. Please note that there is an additional charge for minky fabric.
Once you purchase this listing I will email an order form to you which will include my address. Please fill out the order form (favorite colors, types of batting, type of backing fabric, embroidery requests, etc.) and put in in the box of clothing to be shipped to me. Please contact me any time throughout the project with any questions or additional recommendations you may have.
Two matching pillow cases of any size can be made for an additional $30.00.
