I ripped the gauze first, for beautiful raw and curling edges; the next step was a hand blended dye in yellow and yellow-green, followed by wet felting and beading/embroidery.
I love the wrinkled texture caused by the felting and shrinking of the wool on the gauze. The fiber used in felting is a gorgeous green and yellow Texel fleece that is very soft for wear next to the skin. Beads are green frosted glass.
Scarf measures 77" by 7.7" at the smallest point; felted portions do vary in width.
Recommended care: Hand wash in cold water. Please note that all hand dyed items have been rinsed thoroughly, but some small amounts of color may still wash out.
