Each Flutterby sports 18 feet of hand dyed silk ribbon! The ribbon is securely (and decoratively) hand stitched with cotton floss to a lovely hardwood ring. The ring is sealed with our organic beeswax polish.
Dance, spin, twirl... FLY! Like our Twirligigs™, these toys require movement to work (sneaky, huh?) and they are suitable from age 3+. As with all toys with strings, ropes or ribbons, supervision is required.
Like all of our toys, Flutterbies are carefully developed to make use of eco-friendly natural materials, prepared with high quality non-toxic finishes for safety and durability.

For your information: We are using bias cut silk ribbon~ there may be some softening of the edges over time (but not unraveling as with synthetic ribbons) and there are occasional seams. This choice means less silk waste in manufacturing and an affordable flurry of ribbons to make an impact in a child's hands! They are lovely and durable and we want to ensure you that these things are normal for this natural fiber ribbon.
