SEE USBTYPEWRITER.COM FOR THE INSTRUCTIONS YOU WILL BE FOLLOWING.
This option gives you the fullest ability to customize the project to your liking.
TOOLS NEEDED:
A sharp soldering iron and solder
A third hand,
A dremel, metal file, or sandpaper made for metal (carbide)
Tweezers
Pliers (the bendy kind is best)
Hot Glue Gun
Two hammers
Wire (24 or 26 awg stranded is best)
Superglue (optional)
Extra Tape, such as gaffers tape which is available at ACE Hardware, Blick Art Materials, and good quality Photography stores, or on www.findtape.com -- call around. 1" rolls are ideal. I will include some in the kit, but its good to have your own. P.S. "Hockey tape" from a sports store may work too, but I haven't tried it.
DISCLAIMER:
This project is not for beginner solderers -- you must have the ability to solder cleanly and recognize mistakes. I cannot debug DIY projects that are non-functional. Also, please note that every typewriter is different, and I cannot be accountable if this kit does not work with your typewriter. That being said, I have yet to buy a typewriter that this conversion did not work on...however some take more inginuity and elbow grease than others.
