What a great old globe! My favorite part, though, is its retro-modern base; it reminds me of a landed spaceship.
The globe does show some wear. I'm not sure what caused them, but there are water like, streaky stains on it. This is, of course, more noticeable in the light blue of the oceans.
The surface layer is also pretty crackled. It's definitely an aged, weathered and discolored globe. Or as some of us like to say, it's full of character.

It does do a trick...it rotates on its axis as you will see in the pictures.
The base is in good shape, and has all of its cute little red "feet".
