the necklace is meant to be worn either doubled or tripled up. of course i won't stop you from wearing it as one really long strand.
the way that it's hinged makes it hang somewhat asymmetrically - giving it a jagged look.
it's been described as looking like sticks making up a nest, or like a string of abstracted bones. it's a little tricky to get the right length at first, but when you figure it out it's more than well worth it. trust me.
