Now introducing the Momiji Studio cross body sling bag! This handy bag features an external zippered pocket on one side and an open pocket on the other, in addition to the zippered main compartment. It combines new and vintage kimono silks, including a couple of lovely meisen (Japanese silk ikat) fabrics, as well as some kimono silk that probably dates back to the 1930s. The zip pocket is lined with lavender-colored cotton, and the main compartment is lined with a lightweight cotton duck in lavender. All of the silks are interfaced for extra strength and body, and stress points are double-stitched. Approximate dimensions: 7-1/8” wide x 9-1/4” long. Nylon strap: 1/2” wide, adjustable from 32” to 58” in length.
I choose my fabrics with great care, but please note that vintage kimono fabrics may show slight flaws. For me, these shortcomings add to the charm of vintage fabrics and are a reminder of their history.
