This is the pattern for the Charlie bag. It contains 60+ color photos to guide you through the process of creating this wonderful purse. It's great for beginners and includes a photo for each step.
The bag measures approximately 16" at the bottom, 12" at the opening, 12" tall, and has a 24" strap. It's a great size for just about everything... Not too big, not too small.
It closes with a magnetic snap, and has two interior pockets that are sized for a cell phone or keys.
The pattern comes with instructions for 4 different pleating designs and 1 or 2 straps, for a total of 8 different styles in one pattern.

*1/2 yard fabric for exterior (home decor fabric works best, but quilting weight will do... just be sure to interface!)
*1/2 yard lining fabric
*matching thread for the interior and exterior colors
*a magnetic snap closure
*1 yard light weight interfacing for lining
*rotary cutter and mat, or scissors and a ruler
*fabric marking pen
*pins
*an iron
*and of course... a sewing machine!
