"Eat Me" visits fashion, Southern tradition in etiquette, and the irony present in what we see, who we are, and what we desire. The perfectly decorated chocolate and strawberry cake has the literal beauty of consumption, while the placement of heals and pearls allude to the ideal female hostess. We now face the struggle between the "beauty of provocation" and the "beauty of consumption."
Painted on 1.5" deep, hand stretched canvas. I have glossy spray varnished the painting to protect it from dirt, dust, and general wear.
