About our tintype jewelry:
Invented in 1856, tintypes are early photographs made by creating a direct positive on a sheet of blackened metal and then prepared with a collodion photographic emulsion. The tintypes we use can be over 100 years old and are delicate and one of a kind relics of history. They have been gently shaped and polished by hand and with normal wear, will last many, many more years.
All Rubella Jewelry arrives in an organza drawstring pouch lined with vintage fabric - ready for safe keeping or gift-giving!
