Please meet baby hare Pingu.

A textile ornament of a baby hare to display fondly in your home.

Pingu is a very inquisitive little hare and has always liked to know what is going on. Even before he could climb out of the nest his big eyes were wide open taking everything in. And he liked to write down all he saw as well. He was the first baby to learn how to write, and also the youngest. Mama was so proud of him and she had made a point of not pushing her babies but to let them develop at their own pace but Pingu sure surprised everyone! To his delight he was regularly given pencils and notebooks as gifts from all the forest and meadow animals. They came from far and wide and it was not uncommon for the more erudite of human forest visitors to suddenly ‘lose their bag’ only to find it later sans book and pen. Pingu had developed a beautiful cursive writing style and he wrote with humour and candour. Often in the evening the other smaller babies would ask him to read his days observations and before he could finish the last sentence they would be fast asleep with smiles on their faces. He’s been thinking about publishing his collection of observations and quite likes the title Pingu’s Microcosm of the World Before My Eyes – Everyday Notes by a Baby Hare.

Pingu has been made with great care and he has safety eyes. He has been machine and hand sewn by me and will have many ‘unique’ (imperfect, handmade) bits.
However, he is not recommended for very young children and is not a toy.

Pingu loves to sit on a bookshelf busying himself with his growing collection of notebooks. He fills them really fast and would appreciate an open window so that his friends can bring more. He would love your extra notebooks too, oh – and pencils!

He is made of a pure white body with printed text instructions all over and a red mouth and nose. The instructions are how to make a 'Mini Pillow' and has a polyfill stuffing, along with a full stomach of dandelion leaves (only joking!).
He stands approx 17cm high and 12cm wide. In inches – 7” x 5”

Pingu is excited about his journey and is really looking forward to his forever home
He also wants you to know that baby hares are called leverets.
He comes with a small tag telling his story.
