An exquisite antique Victorian sterling silver genuine amethyst pendant necklace. This lovely rare piece features a large center pendant of sterling silver filigree with a 2 carat open back purple amethyst stone in the center. Forming the outside of the pendant are 12- .50 carat open back amethyst gemstones bringing the total outside carats to 6. Three ornate sterling silver filigree drops swing below the pendant...one in a heart shape. Three chains connect the pendant to a floral filigree station with two more chains connecting to a smaller floral station. A fine sterling silver chain with pin closure ends the piece. This is an exceptional antique Victorian necklace!
The necklace measures 19" to the first flower bale. The pendant from the smaller flower bale to the end of the center drop dangle measures 5". Quite large and very impressive. Excellent condition with no chips or nicks to the amethyst gemstones and the sterling bears a rich warm patina. A Victorian piece of this nature does not come along often..worthy of the finest collections!
