The first picture depicts the deep, red color the best. This stone proved to be very hard to photograph and to capture the color perfectly. It has lots of depth and you can definitely see through to the many layers. In the sun, it turns a beautiful rust color, best shown in the second picture.
The stone is a freeform teardrop shape and measures 1"L and 3/4"W. I have set it in a freeform sterling silver setting and it hangs from a 16" sterling silver oval dappled chain.
Ready and waiting to become a member of your jewelry collection.
DISCLAIMER: The bezel setting has a slight flaw (adds character?!) on the bottom left hand side, but is still wearable and very pretty. I have priced it accordingly.
