Type: a skills check-off program for classroom or home use
Includes: student supplies, flashcards, class record sheet, file labels, instructions with photographs, checklists for supplies, notes for parents, and student practice pages.
Quick recall of math facts is essential for children to develop. If you’re stuck on 7 + 4, you’ll never be able to figure out 1,427 + 3,904. Even students who understand the concept of addition still need a little push to memorize their math facts. This is a fun, motivating, and well-organized way of helping your students master the facts from 0+0 to 10+10. A banana split celebration at the end provides the incentive. But the best part? Helping children become fluent with their addition facts.
In addition to an illustrated four page set-up guide, the general instructions are laid out step-by-step, so you can easily have a parent helper or classroom aide work with your students. As children master each level of addition fact (zeros, ones, twos, etc.) they earn a piece of a banana split. Students are provided with personal sets of flashcards to practice. And next year, you can reuse it all! Simply print off a new record sheet and you’re all set!
While this is a program designed for a classroom setting, it’s easily adaptable for single family use. Just ignore the class record sheet and you have everything you need to help your child get a bit ahead over the summer!
Included in this set are masters for smaller student flashcards (levels 0-10) and 11 sets of the larger flashcards to use for testing the student’s facts. There are sets of parent notes and file labels to keep you organized. Also included are 11 practice sheets to give your strugglers a little push!
After downloading and printing the file, it will be quick and easy to prepare this game for use. You may print as many sets as your family or class requires, but please don’t make copies to share with others.
