Have you ever thought about bowerbirds? They're AMAZING. They're Australian birds that build bachelor pads to attract females. They construct a little bower and then decorate it for the ladies. The decorations depend on the species of bowerbird. The male Satin bowerbird, which is kind of bluey-black with freaky electric blue eyes, loves the color blue and steals blue objects from all over the place to strew around his bower. What a hoot -- you can't make up weirder beasties than already exist!

The image is a 3.5" x 5.5" gocco screenprint with blue watercolor on a 4x6" piece of kraft-colored cardstock, and comes in a clear plastic sleeve. Gocco is kind of a quirky process, so prints will differ.
