RESRVED FOR LINDSEY RESERVED FOR LINDSEY
in 1925 carl would have been around fifteen years old. in his journal there were letters from an uncle describing his plans for smuggling alcohol across the massachusetts border. this crate was unearthed from a pile of old whiskey and moonshine bottles...i can only imagine carl might have been part of the plan
gorgeous old wooden shipping crate with steel strapping. warm toned wood under peeling paint revealing layers of sea green and blue and a color i can only call black raspberry. box is labeled A & K Registered which is letterpressed into the wood. the front is the name of the company and the word 'street' but is mostly illegible.
blue green milk painted interior with slots for where the wooden dividers would have been, probably for bottles of some sort. the hardware clasp is one of the most unique i have seen
21 x 14 x 12
