Unlike our other dolls, Umi's hair is made from black bond paper in order to help her lay flatly inside your book. Her body opens up at the bottom to reveal two magnets. All you need to do is slip her over your page, and you should feel a small magnetic "click". You can either position her so that her little face peeks out the top of your book or you can push her in further so that she will not be damaged if your books are going into your purse or backpack.
She is much larger than the "mini" bookmarks (see the comparison image) and will come shipped inside of an organza bag in between two pieces of cardboard to keep her in good condition.
