This 16 piece "printed" flannel board story made from my own original pictures is the story of Stone Soup.

Toddlers and Preschoolers loved to hear stories and look at colorful pictures. These stories are also a very good way for new readers to learn the skill of reading and retelling. My eight year old and her friends love these stories!

Set Includes:
Soldier, Shoemaker, Baker, Butcher, Villagers, Cauldron, Stones, Potatoes, Onion, Cabbage, Corn, Peas, Mushrooms, Meat, Flour, and Carrots.
(Soldier measures 4 inches)
Also included is a laminated copy of the story.
(See Exerpt from story below.)

Comes printed on felt and uncut. If you would like to purchase it pre-cut there will be an additional charge of $2.00. Let me know if you would like it cut before you pay so I can send an adjusted invoice with the correct amount. Otherwise, the second invoice will be $2.50 for the cut fee to cover the extra invoice.

Exerpt from the story:
"One day there was a soldier returning from war passing through a certain village. He stopped in the village square to talk to an old shoemaker in the village. He was asking the shoemaker if there was anywhere he could stay the night. The old shoemaker told him that there was no food in the village and it would be better for the soldier to just move on.
The soldier told the villager not to worry, that he had everything he needed and would not need any food from the village. In fact, he told the villager he was planning to make some delicious soup, called “Stone soup” and he was planning to share his meal with the villagers.
He pulled a cauldron from his gear, lit a fire under it, and filled it with water. Then he pulled two large stones from his pack and dropped them into the water.
As he went about stirring his stone soup the villagers started to come out of their houses and gather around the soldier to see what he was doing."
