A portrait of your child not only brightens any living space but is a family heirloom that can be admired for decades to come.
The sample photos show a portrait sized 30" x 40" (76cm x 1m) and stretched onto canvas - but you can order your portrait any size you like! (See sizes and prices below).
Here's how it works:
1) You e-mail me some of your favorite photos and I send back some rough designs. If you’re happy with the direction we’re going in, you then pay the $50 deposit fee.
2) I design the portrait in close consultation with you. I send drafts and ask for feedback, and you choose the colors and size of your portrait.
3) You make the final payment. The portrait is professionally printed, varnished, and stretched and shipped to you.
The whole process takes approximately 1 to 2 weeks. (I sometimes have a wait list for new orders, but I’ll let you know what this is when you first contact me).

Please send a few photos, so I can make sure we get one that works really well in the style of portrait I do. The best photos are high-resolution, clear, close-ups (no IPhone photos please! I need photos taken with cameras).

The fine details:
I give a 5% discount for multiple orders (for 2 or more different portraits). If you'd like 2 or more prints of the same portrait, the extra prints are 50% off. I charge $10 extra for putting an extra child in a portrait.
Gift certificates are available - please just contact me at emma [!at] bluedaydesigns.net and we can discuss details of the certificate.
Sorry I’m not able to accept commissions for portraits of children under 1 (their faces haven't got enough distinctive features to look good in a one-color portrait).
The prices listed above include free shipping to the USA, Canada, UK, and most of Australia.
If your country isn't listed in the shipping rates please contact me and I'll let you know the rates. If you live in a remote area of Australia your portraits will have to be couriered to you instead of posted; please just contact me with your postcode and I can get back to you with a quote.
