This cushion is made from a rare and stunning vintage (around 50-60's) japanese obi belt, combined in this cushion with soft cotton fabric matching the off-white background on the obi. The printed pattern on the obi is really striking and this is one of the most beautiful designs I have seen in my searches for beautiful and rare vintage fabric. The design has a clear arts and crafts/art deco influence.
The covers may be used with a 18'' (45x45cm) pillow for a loose fit, or a 20'' (50x50cm) pillow for a more tight fit.
The dark colour in the obi fabric is navy, so is the strip of fabric joining the obi part wiht the cream plain fabric. There are two reds present. One slightly darker red (blood red), the other is lighter crimson red. Please see attached a detail photo where you can see the textures and the colours. The cream fabric has herringbone woven texture.
