The simple fall of noodles in a bowl, organically draped into a mound waiting for a spoonful of rich sauce. This pendant was inspired from a beautiful photo of pasta. How exciting to duplicate. So this is my polymer clay take on a bowl filled with pasta.
My signature thread inlays are cocooned inside a polymer clay capsule & connected to a double stranded beaded necklace. Polymer clay “noodles” have been affixed to the domed top & bottom pieces creating a 3 dimensional surface. This pendant offers multiple possibilities as each side has its own design & coloring - Side A: Burnt Orange / Side B: Antique Gold. The domed top & bottom have circular windows which reveal the underlying thread inlays. There are 4 layers of thread used, which creates a since of depth. The inlays has been treated & are water resistant, which means the occasional rendezvous with water will not harm the pendant (complete submersion is not deadly but should be avoided). The necklace strands are composed of a seed bead mixture, beads vary in size, color, & finish; the necklace is then finished with a toggle clasp.
