Vintage 1920s cast iron Boston Terrier figure or paper weight in the Hubley style. 10% of the profits from the sale of this item will be donated to Boston Buddies Southern CA Area Boston Terrier Rescue. This is a cast metal boston terrier figure. Hubley made two sizes of dog figures in the 1920s. One was a large cast iron dog that was used as a door stop or penny bank. The other was a cast iron "toy" that is now used as a modern day paper weight. This particular piece is a Boston Terrier dog. It is not marked Hubley, but is consistent with the Hubley mold. If it is not Hubley than I could not imagine what other company made the item. This piece is in amazingly good vintage condition and there is no damage to it. This item would make a great gift for your Boston loving friends or a great addition to any collection.
