As the rest of our items, The Trousse is entirely made with recycled solid oak from discarded French wine barrels, every stave is individually sanded back to its original wood and creatively reinvented. Every box is individually made and a one of a kind piece; our boxes offer an artisan and high- end alternative to the mass produced gift boxes on the market.
The Trousse’s top closes with a heavy duty antique brass neat little latch and it’s complete of antique brass hinges for easy opening; the box is stained with a creamy mahogany color, while the inside it’s stained with the wine previously contained in the barrel and complemented with a rich cherry chocolate color. Other colors available on request.
We offer the option of adding a very unique element of personalization with a custom hand painted décor either on the underside of the lid or on the outside of the box; please contact us for details and additional photos of previous works. This personalization adds $40 to the item’s price.
We also offer the possibility of adding a brass name plate w/ engraved names and date at additional costs (about $55)
Also available on request the use of a latch with a mini lock to secure the box. Contact us for details on the cost and photo of the latch & lock available.

The box makes a great and original gift in itself and can be enjoyed after the bottle has left it 'vacant', to keep all sort of effects in it and/or as an elegant piece of home décor.
The solid wood of an oak wine barrel has a very distinctive element of charm that is conveyed into every object we create. Every individual barrel carries the signs of its unique history in every stave.
As no one barrel band is the same, each piece might show natural imperfections, slight variations in color, grain & dimensions, all adding to the uniqueness of every item.
We love the fact that we are able to help the environment by recycling the raw material and to turn it into an object of ‘practical elegance’ at the same time.
