The book is from 1902, and has an amazing Art Nouveau design in golds and greens on the front. The spine edges are lined with hand-marbled momi paper from Thailand, and three of the interior sections are wrapped with deep violet 100lb paper to keep the rich feel of this journal.
The interior pages are hand torn to stay in character with the antique cover, and the edges highlighted with gold. The binding tapes are a soft, high quality, deep blue suede that was reclaimed from a purse manufacturer, and the book was handsewn and knotted with waxed linen thread. This type of binding will lie flat when opened.
Book measures 7 3/4 x 4 3/4 inches, and approx 3/4 of an inch thick. 80 pages total, of 90lb Canson classic acid-free paper. This book does not have a tie close, but I can easily add one. Just convo me.
I began doing these for myself, and loved doing them so much that I decided to offer them in my shop for other journalers out there. If you want a specific color, or size, or even time period, feel free to contact me and we can design the perfect journal for you.
I am happy to ship internationally. Please contact me if your country is not listed so I can give you an accurate shipping quote prior to your purchase.
