These two would make an elegant way to serve olives, nuts or icecream. They can also be used in the bedroom, bathroom or kitchen to put jewelry in. The texture and color inside are so pretty that you might want to keep them empty, as they look great on their own for decoration.
Each one is formed by hand, by me, from a single piece of clay. This process makes each poppy unique. They are made from strong, textured, creamy clay and fired to stoneware temerature, so they are strong, despite their delicate appearance. One is glazed with deep red shiny glaze and dark accents inside with an unglazed exterior that lets the beauty of the clay shine through. The other is glazed with deep red accents and a glossy clear glaze over the inside and outside surfaces, to contrast with the other bowl.
Each piece measures just over 4 inches accross the diameter x (height) 1.5 inches
(10.5 x 4 cm)
These pieces are completely food and dishwasher safe.
