Baskets WANT to be round. So when one is triangular, like this one, you know the maker worked very carefully and strategically to hold the shape. This lovely handcrafted pine needle basket was lovingly coiled by an award-winning fiber artist, Pamela Zimmerman. (That's me.) The pottery center was also made by me, from stoneware clay, and fired to cone 6 (very hard, food-safe; but it is recommended if you use this basket for unwrapped food that you line it with a napkin.) A shallow "reach in" bowl, it would be great to serve wrapped candy, hold change, keys, etc.
