...this is the story Oona tells me anyway, I'm not entirely sure about it myself, although Oona does have the most gorgeous purple eye. Oona likes spinning tales and lies spill from her mouth like wildflower honey. She tells me the ribbon she wears is for the Foxglove and Belladonna she grows in her Poison Garden. She also tells me its a ribbon for cookery that she is a great pie chef, though I'm not sure there is such a thing, but she does like to help out in the kitchen when cakes are being baked or potions must be made.
Oona is another primitive style monster, she is made from linen, cotton, polyfil, vintage buttons, a vintage doily, a snip of lillalotta ribbon, black yarn, thread, and love. She was stained with a mixture of italian espresso grounds (what can I say I'm a coffee snob), vanilla, and cinnamon. Oona is not made to be played with by small children, she has small buttons that could tear off and become a choking hazard, but she is there to be loved by older children and sit on display.
"What cares I for human hearts? Soft and spiritless as porridge! A fairy's heart beats fierce and free!" (Oona the faery in the film Legend)
