The use of wood cutting boards reduces our consumption of plasic. And not only is plastic bad for the environment, but it is rough on your knives as well! Also, contrary to popular belief, wood cutting boards are no more suseptable to the growth of bacteria as long as they are cleaned. My wooden boards will last for years and years!

The edge grain is used for the cutting surface because it is significantly more durable than using the face grain as the cutting surface. My cutting boards will therefore not crack or split under moisture change. They are very sturdy!
There are no feet on any of my cutting boards. This aspect doubles the life of the board allowing you to use both sides for cutting. Or, this allows one side to be used for cutting, and the other side be shown off when serving! Your choice!
Hand rubbed to a smooth finish with my own special mineral oil and wax mixture. Adding this small amount of wax to the oil creates an amazing seal! You will find water just beading right off of the board!
