They flow from my pen onto paper and change as they grow across the pages.
The drawings find their way into my clay studio where they are happiest carved into clay. This carved clay then becomes hardened by fire then fresh porcelain is laid onto it, picking up those drawings and reflecting them as a mirror image of what the drawing had been.
In time colors emerge in powdered form of glass on the surface of the porcelain which is to be melted down in a fire that reaches over 2200 degrees F into liquid puddles of glass that encase the flower on all sides in beautiful, rich colors.
These glass covered porcelain flowers want to be made into jewelry or treasured in some way by you…
If you would like me to create a piece of jewelry for you with this particular pendant, please let me know and I can use my skilled hands to wrap this flower for you with antiqued brass, sterling silver, or gold filled wire - similar to what is seen in the last photograph.
You can choose to have your pendant suspended on a hand painted Fairy or Silky Ribbon or a thin leather necklace. I can choose the corresponding color for you to make your decision easier. Just message me "make this wearable", and add your details. Then I will make it happen for a mere $10 more. This cost will also cover your piece being wrapped up and ready for gift giving.
If you have a necklace already and only want the wire wrapped bale attached to this piece, the cost is only $5 more.
