A black silk dupioni pillbox hat with a spooky bow on the side. Bow features eight loops out of sheer ribbon, with a resin cast quail skull sewn down in the center, and a double looped satin bow sewn snugly up under the skull. This hat is made to perch on the head, rather than sit low on it. Works perfectly with a slight tilt to it.

The hat itself is a buckram frame molded on a pillbox hat block. I use wire along the bottom edge to help it hold its shape, followed by a layer of fleece for the smooth finish and the silk on top of that. Everything is hand sewn securely, you won't find any glue on this thing!

Further, the hat is lined with teal plaid silk and has an elastic band connected to the inside hatband that secures the hat to the head.

(NOTE: This resin cast skull was picked up at a con quite a while ago and I don't remember where it's from. If you're looking for resin cast skulls I would recommend spiderwings on etsy!)
